Disabilities can't keep us down!

I watched a Special Needs Spartan Course on TV, and this proves the sky is the limit! I had goosebumps watching the race and hearing the stories. There was a guy with no legs going through the course; his mile time is unbelievable. The announcers were saying too many times doctors will pigeon-hole patients into thinking certain things are impossible, and this race proves they're not always right. Yes, doctors do their best, but it's true, they're not always right. I'm lucky (because of hard work) to continue improving!

I had a stroke, and I now participate in Brooks Adaptive Sports and Recreation. I've done numerous events with them, and it's an incredible feeling! Depending on your disability, the team adapts the program to your needs. You also have the opportunity to meet others! So far, I've participated in kayaking, bowling, boccia ball, golf, biking, pool, and indoor skydiving. There's even rowing, archery, horseback riding, yoga, surfing, water skiing and more!

Too many times we think we're stuck, but things like the Special Needs Spartan Course, and Brooks Adaptive Sports are there to remind us to keep pushing, especially mentally. Limits are what we put on ourselves!
